Mark Twain (1835–1910) was an American writer, journalist, and publisher. Among his most famous novels are “The Adven-tures of Tom Sawyer” and its sequel, “The Adventures of Huckle-berry Finn.” Most of his finest work includes many genres such as humor, satire, and philosophical fiction. “The Innocents Abroad” is a travel book in which Twain humorously describes his journey in 1867 on board the ship Quaker City through Europe and the Holy Land. This book is one of the best-selling travel books of all time.
